Our Staff

All of the professionals at our Dental Center maintain the highest levels of accreditation and pursue ongoing education to stay abreast of the latest technologies and procedures in dentistry.

Fedele E. Vero, D.D.S., P.C. Dr. Vero was raised in the south Bronx and went to James Monroe High School. He received a Bachelor of Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He graduated from New York University College of Dentistry, Summa Cum Laude, and received 5 awards for excellence in Dentistry. Following a Dental Residency Program at New York Polyclinic Hospital in Manhattan, Dr. Vero opened his office in Yonkers. Dr. Vero's consulting and teaching positions have been at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Yonkers, New York Polyclinic Hospital in Manhattan and Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. Dr. Vero has lectured at dental meetings, local schools, and to community groups. His radio program "In the Dentist's Chair with Dr. Fedele E. Vero" aired public service dental messages on WVOX, of New Rochelle, New York. Dr. Vero is on the medical committee of the American Association for the Improvement of Boxing and is a member of the American Dental Association, the Dental Society of the State of New York, the Ninth District Dental Society, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is also a current board member and one of the six founders of the newly formed Empire State Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Christine N. Fumo, D.M.D. Dr. Fumo was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. At Dickinson College she did advanced research in medicinal chemistry. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine with honors. She received a special award in restorative dentistry as well as awards in emergency dental care and oral medicine. She was an editor of the school's publication, The Penn Dental Journal. Dr. Fumo completed a general practice residency at West Jersey Hospital in Camden, New Jersey. Dr. Fumo's teaching positions have been at the University of Pennsylvania where she taught Clinical Dentistry and at West Jersey Hospital where she taught Dental Assisting Techniques. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Dental Society of the State of New York, and the Ninth District Dental Society.

Shahin Shahgoli, DDS Dr. Shahgoli obtained his DDS degree from Ludwig Maximilian’s University in Munich, Germany in 1996, where he graduated number one of his class. He then went on to complete a 2-year advanced education residency in general dentistry at the Eastman Dental Center in Rochester, New York. In 1999, he began residency training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Lincoln Medical Center in New York City, which he completed in June of 2003. After residency, Dr. Shahgoli joined the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Centers of Ohio, a large group private practice in Columbus, where he became a partner in 2004; he also was an attending surgeon in Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware, Ohio. In 2007, Dr. Shahgoli relocated back to New York City where he has since been active in private practice and academia. Dr. Shahgoli is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He has published several articles. Currently, he divides his time between private practice and a teaching position at NYU College of Dentistry as a Clinical Assistant Professor of oral and maxillofacial surgery. He also is an attending surgeon at the Mount Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Shahgoli is licensed in New York and Illinois. He is married to his wife, Ellie, who is an attorney in New York City and his hobbies include traveling, reading, and tennis.

Pamela Dulgerian - Registered Dental Hygienist Pam grew up in Bergen County, New Jersey. After graduating from Hackensack High School, she attended Bergen Technical School and became a certified dental assistant. Her love of dentistry led her to pursue a career in dental hygiene. She attended Bergen Community College and graduated with honors in 1979. "Working with Dr. Vero and our professional staff for the past 25 years has been a very rewarding experience. I have been fortunate enough to be part of a dental practice where the patients come first and quality dental care is of the utmost concern. I have had the pleasure of watching the children that came into the practice grow into adults and return with their children. What a compliment it is to know that we are providing the kind of dental care that continues into the next generation."

Margarety Premoli - Registered Dental Hygienist Margarety came to the United States from Espirito Santo, Brazil in 1999. After completing a program at the 9th District Dental Society, she became a dental assistant. She then attended Hostos Community College in the Bronx and graduated with a degree in dental hygiene. Margarety is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in health administration. "Working at this office for the past 5 years, has been an outstanding experience. Providing optimal dental care, in a warm and friendly atmosphere, is very rewarding. I am proud to be a member of our great dental team. Benvindo!"

Monika Bober-Fila - Registered Dental Hygienist Monika was born and raised in a small town in Poland. After she graduated from high school, she went of University of Science and Technology (AGH) in Krakow, where she studied Oil and Gas Engineering. After five years, she received a B.S. in Engineering. A few years later she came to New Rochelle, NY and decided to change her career for something she was always interested in- dental field. While attending Hostos Community College she was not only a full time student but also a full time mom of Isabel and Oliver. Monika graduated with honors and received her AAS degree in Dental Hygiene in 2010. She is planning to come back to school to pursue Bachelor degree. “Dental hygiene profession gives me a lot of satisfaction. The most rewarding is when patients look forward to coming back to our office. It is honor and pleasure working with Dr. Vero and his staff. As a new team member I feel… welcomed and appreciated here.”

Anna Greenberg - Practice Manager Anna was raised in the Bronx. She began her professional career at the International Longshoreman's Association Medical and Dental Center in Manhattan as assistant to the administrator. After 15 years there, she became a mother and a few years later she joined our practice. For the past 20 years, she has been our practice manager. "I enjoy helping people with all of their dental needs. I am pleased to have established great relationships with our patients. It makes me very happy to see them leave our office with healthy and beautiful smiles.

Kamila Jakubowski - Administrative Assistant Kamila was born and raised in Bydgoszcz, Poland and came to New Rochelle, NY in 1999. Two years later, she moved to Yonkers where she met her husband of five years, Remy. In 2002, she worked as a Therapist Leader at Regency Extended Care Center and Nursing Home in Yonkers, NY. A year later she gave birth to her lovely daughter, Jennifer. Kamila is bilingual in English and Polish. She studied medical billing and coding at Caliber Training Institute, in Manhattan and graduated in 2004, "I enjoy meeting all of our patients, working with such an experienced Team and having the opportunity to utilize my interpersonal and organizational skills. Denisse Diaz – Dental Assistant Denisse was born and raised in the Dominican Republic. She is currently attending Hostos Community College for a degree in dental hygiene. Denisse has been a dental assistant for two years. "Working here has been a great experience, I am able to meet new people while doing what I love most". "Come visit our office".

Adela Sainovic – Dental Assistant Adela was born in Montenegro,former Yugoslavia. After graduationg from medical school in Montenegro, she married and came to the USA in 2002. Adela speaks Serbo-Croatian and would like to say "Najbolja Zubarska ordinacija Dr.Vero dodito uvjerite se. I started working at Dr.Vero's office since 2010 and I am very privileged to work with such great people, Dr.Vero and his staff. Sabrina Hernandez – Dental Assistant Sabrina was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. Sabrina is currently pursuing a degree in dental hygiene at New York University. "I have had the good fortune of working for Dr.Vero and all the staff. Their practice is community based and is patient oriented. We believe our patients always come first; they are treated with the highest degree of professionalism and care."
